The HSE will very soon no longer be approving & monitoring first aid in the workplace.

Also the existing format of courses will be changing -

First aid at Work [4days at present & renewable after 3 years] - will become a 3 day course renewable every year.
The appointed person course - will become just one for the person to call the ambulance & maintain the FA box.
'Emergency first aid course - will be for 6 hours [ a day] again renewable every year 1/2 (a day).
